Well, we have been in the Newcastle area now for a few months and we are happily settling in.
It has taken the girls a little while to get used to the heat and humidity but they are slowly getting there. We have had to cut back on the running exercise the girls are getting at the moment because of the heat.
Instead we have been making regular trips to the heated doggy pool to help burn off the excess energy and also keep them fit and trim. On the few cooler days we get around here the girls love to go for long runs in the rain where they can really let loose.! Otherwise they love laying about in the little wading pool in the back yard to keep cool.!
All in all though we are loving being back up here.!

Litter Announcement

Sokari Abracadabra x Zasko Vom Prielberg
We are proud to announce the safe arrival of ten beautiful babies, five males and five females, on the 15th January 2012. Mum and bubs are doing well and if you visit the current litters page you will find more details.
The puppies are nearly two weeks old now and eyes are opening, little legs are learning to walk and they are starting to become a little bit more demanding.! This is when the fun really starts as they begin to explore their environment and learn new things.! Personalities are already starting to develop and we are seeing which puppies are more laid back and which ones are go-go-go.! Exciting times.!
We do already have a few bookings for puppies, but if you are interested in this litter, feel free to contact us and we can keep you updated on the progress and if there will be enough to go around. J

Jelly is going great guns and impresses wherever she goes. Need I say more.! She is my constant travel mate and comes on the long car rides to Melbourne and other interstate trips when I need to go away for whatever reason.
She was recently approved to do security work with me and hopefully we will be starting this in the first half of next year. It will have to be after the litter is finalised all the puppies are off to their new homes so we can concentrate on making the transition to work smooth for her.

We added a new page to our website a while back. "Madoka's Story" is a page detailing an experience we have had, and which we wanted to share with people out there.
When people contact us to enquire about taking one of our GSD, either an adult or a puppy, into their lives, we ask a lot of questions. Some people think we are being nosey, others understand why and yet others get offended by the third degree....occasionally we get asked why we want to know so much about the prospective new home. Madoka's story is why. When things go bad...this is what happens.....and it is always the dog that suffers.
So have a read. It is a hard story to tell, but we have, and we will be bringing regular updates and stories that will be added as often as possible.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened to us. It is upsetting that so many people take pets for granted and see them as so disposable. This is why we want to know so much about our puppy people, and why we want to build relationships with them and keep in touch.
Sadly, Madoka recently had to make the journey to the bridge where she will be waiting for Jane and Chloe. Over the last few months the cancer returned and it was very aggressive in its development. Jane made the call to end Madoka’s suffering before she lost any more of her faculties and she went peacefully to sleep in the arms of her mum and myself.
It is always hard to lose one of your fur babies, but Maddy had struggled so fiercely to come back to health when we took her home from the RSPCA that it was hard to realise she had finally reached the point where sleep was her best option.
Maddy will be missed by all who knew her and she leaves a loving family behind who will miss her for a very long time.
“You have your wings now Maddy girl.....fly free and be happy baby.”

It has been difficult getting used to not having our princess-girl around. Lolli is still leaving sad paw prints on our hearts. I miss my little shadow who had teeth. J At least now we are able to smile when we think back to our time with her rather than it being such a painful hole. These things take time to heal though...

We have been making a lot of changes to the site lately trying to get it how we want it....so be patient with us as we go through the teething process and things will eventually settle down.
If you have any suggestions on how we can make this site better, please feel free to contact us and we will take your thoughts into consideration. After all....this site is here for you guys.!
Anyway, back to the hustle and bustle....keep checking back for updates guys.!
